Raw Vegan Pink Strawberry Pear "Yogurt" Bowl

For those of us living a plant based, dairy-free lifestyle, we really have it pretty good these days. Not only is there a mecca of products lining grocery store shelves and coolers with vegan products that resemble pretty much anything non-vegan imaginable, the Internet also offers a wealth of recipe inspiration to craft some delectable and creative treats at home yourself. If you find yourself craving the flavor and consistency of yogurt, give this recipe a try. It's fruit based, but the combination of ingredients lends a silky, creamy, yogurt-like consistency with a slight tartness from the berries. The pear helps thicken it up a bit, and the dates give it just a hint of caramel-like sweetness without going over the top. Add a dose of our Sunbiotic Vanilla Probiotics to the mix so that you also get the added benefits of healthy intestinal flora, just like you would with yogurt. Top with anything and everything you would normally top yogurt with: granola, superfoods, fresh fruit, nut butters, nuts and seeds, etc. Go to town!

The Recipe

Raw Vegan Pink Strawberry Pear "Yogurt" Bowl

Ingredients

1 cup frozen strawberries

3/4 cup coconut milk

1 ripe pear (we used a green bartlett)

1/2 tsp vanilla extract

1 Tbs Dastony Sprouted (or regular) Almond Butter

2 dates, soaked first to soften

1/3 tsp Sunbiotics Vanilla Probiotics (optional, but makes it even more like a "yogurt" with the added probiotics)

Instructions

1. Add pear and coconut milk to your blender first, then remaining ingredients. Blend until smooth like yogurt. Want it even thicker? Simply use 1/2 cup coconut milk instead of 3/4 cup. Enjoy!
